People who practice their learning will have spiritual enlightenment. However, greed can cause a diminution of the spiritual enlightenment.
The common man’s greed is money – more and more money to meet all his wants, and to live a luxurious life. I’m no exception. To supplement my income, or rather to satisfy my desire to live a luxurious life, I traded on the stock market. I borrowed money from the bank to finance my venture. After several month
of trading, I manage to get a 50% profit, on paper. I did not sell and realized the profit because I wanted more. The market dropped soon after that but I still hold to my stocks and anticipated that the market will bounce back. I can sell for a lower profit but greed overcomes my senses.
To cut the long story short, the market crashed and I have to sell to pay up the bank. The bottom line, I lost quite a substantial amount of money, 10 times my monthly salary. I have learned my lesson.
